We are visitors from England and are staying in Breck for the week. We had a great walk around town looking at the historic places and understanding the people who came here during the gold rush.
The helpful staff led me in the right direction for this cache.

Thanks for the history lesson. Some pretty interesting facts. Visiting Breckenridge for the first time from PA. Trying to use geocaching as a way to acclimate ourselves to the altitude. #1574 TFTC

Did the walking tour while in town, however we finished at 7:51 p.m. and the welcome center desk is closed and behind security bars! Cowgirlup1203 and I are spending the night here on our Wild West road trip from Chicago. So far we’ve been to Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah and now Colorado! The rest of trip begins bright and early tomorrow with Boulder, CO then through Wyoming into South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa before heading home on Sunday! Thank you for the tour...even if I did have to stop often to catch my breath! We live at 636’ above sea level so this is a bit of an adjustment!
