Historical Origins

National Waffle Day, for instance, harkens back to August 24, 1869, when Cornelius Swartwout, of Troy, N.Y., received the first U.S. patent for the waffle iron.

The origin of waffles can be traced back much further to the Netherlands and Belgium in the Middle Ages (and precursors in Ancient Greece) but Swartwout revolutionized the device by connecting what had previously been two plates with a hinge, forming an iron that could sit atop a stove: voila the waffle iron was born.

 

This cache is in an industrial are. You should almost be able to drive up and sign the log. That is if you know where the log is..

I messaged the CO about this needing new log. I was out running when I found this and only had my stamp on me. The next finder might want to bring along an extra log (micro size) if you don't see any owner maintenance on it.

Out with the Golden B's finding some of the puzzle caches we have solved along with some additional caches to try to fulfill the Planetary Pursuit and earn all of the souvenirs. Sure hope the day goes well! Thanks for helping us out with this cache.
