This cache was started with kid stuff. Near Rito Hondo reservoir.
This cache is a one gallon rubbermaid. It was started with a log book and lots of fun stuff for kids. The Forest Service road to Rito Hondo is well maintained and access by car is not a problem. If you are not driving a high clearence vehicle you may want to park at the reservoir and walk from that point. This cache will not be avalible in the winter. The tall tree cover may effect the GPS readings (GPS accuracy reading 17 feet). We placed the cache in a spot I felt we were receiving strong satelite readings. Please be sure to cover the cache well so it won't be discovered by a hunter. This is a popular hunting location. There is also lots of good fishing and camping in this area. Be sure to stop and see North Clear Creek Falls. An ice cream cone at Freemon's Ranch is a must when you are in this area. Have fun!
