Mountain Goat

A regular cache placed on Spruce Mountain on the opposite half of the Loop
This cache was placed during the first Witz-Pedition!
I built this out to hide in the new Spruce Mountain open space during my first excursion to this area. But it was the second trip for the mtn_goat team - which helped things go very well. Team mtn_goat and I went up and managed to get all the caches - and decided to hide this one on the 'lonlier' side of the loop.
So the Witz is me - Mr.WitzAbout
The Goat is team mtn_goat.
The Way the goat went is the other part of the loop.

Many thanks to mtn_goat for the adding to the fun of the first Witz-Pedition - and to being a co-hider for this cache.
It is a fully camo-taped hex-plastic container filled with a varied of simple toys and items.

8/21/06 2:49pmMT - slight adjustment to the name :)

A bird in the hand may be good, but a rock may be better when you check under the low ledge

11:31 AM We are here from Dallas for our typical August vacation in Divide in order to skip the Texas heat for a couple of weeks.

Today we headed to Spruce Mountain and Open Space. We were here about 10 years ago for the conclusion of a classic sparrowPI multicache. This time it's the Classic Movie series that is bringing us to the area.

About 25 ft SW of coords per my GPS, but an easy enough and logical find.

I signed the log. Thanks, WitzAbout & mtn_goat, for the cache.

Silly goat; I think I took the longer route by Windy Point, but it was worth the view. Cache is in good shape, and is a nice spot for a picnic.

Beautiful day for a hike! Was glad to come up here with a friend and find a few caches along the way! Thanks for placing this one.

Took the family for a hike in Spruce Mountain. 6 miles and 7 geocaches. Perfect weather, gorgeous views, what a great day.
