A nice hike along the old Denver South Park & Pacific railroad grade.
This portion of the DSP&P Railroad grade took the railroad from the Arkansas Valley up Chalk Creek Canyon to Hancock and the Alpine Tunnel. The line through the Alpine Tunnel ceased operation in 1910. Now parts of it are nice hiking paths.

This is a two stage multi. Finding the first stage will give you the information you need to know to find the second stage.
The first stage is micro sized.

The final is suitable for trackables.

Both stages are on the south side of the trail.

BYOP just in case

We found the first waypoint but encountered a rock slide on the way to the final.

I have been wanting to do some caching along the old railroad grade here for a long time and today was the day. I drove the road until it ended and hiked the rest of the way west finding caches along the way. I spotted the first container right away the and final took a few minutes. Both are in fine shape. It's great to find a cache that hasn't been found for 2 years! 10:54 am.

The 2 rocks slides between the two containers are not that hard to get past. If I had my bicycle with me I would have carried it over (carefully). The easternmost slide is about 150 feet long and the westernmost is about 30 feet long.

Yikes, we couldn't even find the first one. Too much bounce around here!

This cache took us 3 tries and 3 days to get!! The first time we couldn't find stage 1. GPS was bouncing all over. The second time we came in from the West side and were stopped from getting to the second stage by a huge landslide right onto the trail. So the next day we biked up the mountain from the other side and was finally able to make the grab. If you don't have a car, this one is grueling right now. TFTA!

We almost gave up on this one as four of us looked and looked without finding it when my huggable said "There it is" we were glad that we could get this so we could go on to the next stage. Thanks for bringing us to this neat trail. Our geodog had a great time running up and down the trail but always keeping us insight.
The coordinates are accurate and it is a great hide TFTC SL
