Located high above the mining district of Leadville. 12047 feet
This cache was placed on an ATV ride. I wouldn't do that again! Probably a nice hike. Only about 2 miles, but all uphill. There is a small stream crossing, which was deep for the ATV, but there is a walkway across it. The view is breath-taking and by the time you get there, you will be short of breath. Be sure to take your camera!

Well silly us... From the name, way up there, the description of the views, and the direction we approached from. We assumed it was on top of the hill somewhere. Of course when we got all the way to the top... we were still 700 feet away.... Like 700 feet straight down the backside of the mountain. So hiking up and over ball mountain took 2 hours and the hike back around the south side took another 1.5 hours.

More people really should look for this cache. It is a great little Valley. Wish I could build my. Cabin there.
