Hunters camping nearby, but no one was home. We met the owner of the mine & cabins. They let us ride our horses on the trail through (otherwise it is closed to vehicles). Interesting area.

Did this cache while on a month long offroad trip down the continental devide. Was towing my M101 military trailer, so glad there was a turn around at the gate just before the town. Only last 1/2 mile required clearance or 4x4 drive. Long drive for this one thogh as I could not find the one at Stone Cellar CG (Salt House was there). TN, SL and left a P-38 military can opener. FTF!!! YEAH! Finally got this one. tried it about 3 months ago and found that the USFS closes the road about 15 miles away for the winter. Glad we got a chance to go back, it is a beautiful drive and a great spot for a cache.
