For years I have wanted to go up to Pikes Peak and I'm finally excited to make it happen!

Please see details below if you decide to drive. Some of the attributes and the rating are for if you REALLY want to climb. :)

The official event will just be for 30 minutes to allow time for exploration while at the summit. Please allow enough time to get up to the summit. All driving details below. There are some caches along the route, and are very specific about which direction you have to be going to get them. Please plan accordingly.

Current General Admission Fees for visiting Pikes Peak is:   $15 for adults and $5 for children (5-15 years old)

If driving a vehicle to the top, you will need to reserve a time window for entry which costs $2.00 per vehicle.

For up to date road conditions on the day of the event, please call 719-385-7325 option #1, option #1 and get updated road conditions to the top.

Thank you all who attended today! It was an incredible turnout and a lot of fun to partner up to find multiple caches at the summit. While hiking around I couldn't help but think about @kenyansherpa
and his summiting of Everest. And that he has climbed Pikes Peak multiple times. Where we were isn't even at the level of BASE CAMP! Crazy huh?

And as I was hiking around Pikes Peak I was motivated by the words of Kenyansherpa about what it takes to achieve these kinds of physical goals. This is the first time I've ever been at 14,000 feet and there were times I needed that encouragement.

A few months ago I hosted an event for KenyanSherpa to share his experiences and lessons learned. Below is a YouTube link to the presentation, and then the Q&A.

If you weren't at the event or haven't watched the replay, it's absolutely worth your time!

Thanks again everyone!

Awesome reason to head up the mountain again. I parked at Devils Playground and walked the rest of the way. I never get tired of the views. Thanks to benj59 for hosting. I hope everyone got the caches they wanted. The weather held out nicely and I had a good walk back down. TFTC
