SOLO in COLO ROAD TRIP

I took a trip to the Southwest, all alone.

I had a few caches targeted and some counties I can reach while down in the corner.

One is Tarryall. I've lived here for almost 6 years, driven passed it within 10 miles several times. I figure it was time to make the find. My truck made easy work of that road and a nice short walk to GZ.

Another is the loneliest puzzle cache. It has not been found for many years. I was the last to attempt it 4 years ago. Time to try again. The puzzle is so hard, I don't even remember how I solved it. I found it after some major help from the CO and then a co-FTF on his latest cache.

The third is the loneliest virtual. While it isn't that lonely, it goes the longest without folks visiting.

Of course, while I appreciate the other caches, the rest were just fillers to reach the 4500-cache milestone or random caches at places near where I stopped along with a few added to the trip to grab the last few counties in South and West Colorado

Thanks for the fun and the loneliest adventure!!

In June 2013 I dipped on this cache, despite a long search. Armed with a good hint from jake92 I returned to the scene today, prepared for a GOOD hunt. I hunted HARD, but apparently not GOOD enough, because I eventually walked away shamed again. This one will require another visit. Perhaps I need to camp nearby, or use a flashlight in the dark in order to find it, as a couple of previous finders did...

I've discovered in the past when searching for jake92 caches that my success rate, even after very thorough searches, is about 50%. On this trip I tried for 10 of his caches. This was the sixth of the 10. My cumulative "trip score", after this cache, is jake92--3; Denali41--3. The game's all tied up again. We'll see what happens next...

Puzzle should have been easy, but I made it more difficult than it needed to be because of simple math errors. Finally got it past the coord checker and we're off for a quick find. Turned out to be close to where we're camping. Nice. Thanks.
