People think they know all about Medusa - yeah, she got cursed into a monster and turned people to stone and had snakes for hair and then was killed. Sometimes a particular story becomes so dominant, that the truth within a story is lost. The myth of Medusa could be one of thsoe stories told so many times wrongly, but still becoming a long fab in our society. Recent discoveries in Limbaugh Canyon, Colorado have led to doubts in Medusa's legend, and it is your job to search for clues that could lead to the remaking of history, that Medusa's tale might end in a different way. It will be dangerous and your life could be on the line, as Medusa can turn you to stone with one look. Beware!
The cache is a fairly short 4-stage multicache in Limbaugh Canyon. Should not take too long, but I would plan for 2 hours beginning to end. Plan for longer so you can find all the other cool cache in the area, and plan enven longer so that you can place your own cache further up the canyon for others to find! This is such a cool area up here I thought it could use a multi. Bring good shoes, food, water, and the dog! Little kids might have a tough time getting to some of the stages here, but if they can generally climb hills and bushwack a bit, they should be fine.
As for routing, park at the parking waypoint listed (make sure you have directions just to get that far) VIRGINIA STREET IS ONE-WAY on the nothern half, plan accordingly! The trail starts through a big metal gate and past a cabin that is owned by the Forest Service. It is legal to walk on the trail there. Once you find the first stage, there are two ways to get to the next. Going east on the trail (the flatter side) is easier, though it is longer. But it will take you to the right place. Going southwest on the trail (the uphill side) is tougher, though it is shorter. This side is very scenic, and you come across a neat waterfall around GC3X68V. Once at the waterfall, the main trail appears to dead end, but there is a vertical trail that you can climb (and I mean climb) up to the trail you need. Once there, the trail remains fairly flat and visible.
Be sure to check out other caches around here along the way, such as:
"66% Inspiration, 100% Perspiration" by ernie66 -- GCYATX
"How the Leopard Got its Spots" by bradleyharmon -- GC3X68V
"V" by Spivey -- GC174JD
"The Wood-Pile" by Tom.Dog -- GC53PG2 (which ends here).
As always, good luck, expect a few twists, beware of Medusa, and have fun!!

Towards the end of Rockridge Rd before the private property. The trail then starts and goes through a metal gate, past a cabin owned by the National Forest, and the first stage is just past that.
R15AYT0 - Reindeer Tree

A fun tree that you will pass if you take the longer (yet much less steeper and less dangerous) route.
