Greetings from Oklahoma. Last week of a month long cache trip to Colorado. Drove over from Avon for a day of caching. Found what is left of cache. Only a plastic bag that is torn up. explored the area and took pictures. Hard life the miners endured. Finding a good variety of caches. Thanks for the adventure. TFTH

Spent a little off-time from guiding visiting some mining areas East of Leadville. Mostly 4X4 roads in this area with great vistas and postcard perfect views of mining the history in this area of Colorado - simply beautiful. TFTC! :-)

Found while walking a section of the MBT after doing the nearby Matchless Mine tour. So much history here, and spectacular scenery all around. Bag containing log etc is in sad shape - next to find may wish to replace it. TFTC.

We made a side trip up to leadville to drop off a trackable that wanted to come up here. Luckily it a short walk. It started raining just as we parked to walk up to the cache. Sl, thanks!

We had an enjoyable day in Leadville including a nice lunch, spending some money on clothing and geocaching. This was our last cache of the day. We parked along the road outside of the mining company. We were going to walk through the open gate, but noticed that it said no trespassing. Additionally, someone from inside drove out and locked the gate as we were preparing to start the adventure. Instead, we hiked up the steep incline to the trail. After we walked along the trail a bit, we saw the very nice approach from the other side. LOL. We got near GZ and I scurried up the hill to the cache. It took some looking, but I did find it eventually. There was not ammo can, but the bag was hidden and covered well to keep it dry. On the way back, we went down to the road via the easier route.
