This is a offset cache. The coordinates given are the starting point.
The cache is located near the Elk Creek Campground. A very nice camping area along the Conejos River. It's a small micro (smaller than an Altoids tin) You will need a pen or pencil. Park at the given coordinates. The cache is located 428 Ft. bearing 297 degrees true north from the starting point. Please be careful when retreiving cache as it can be easily lost.

This cache was hard to find and we looked for it a few times before we found it. Finally found it 116 feet east of the calculated coordinates. Signed the log (that needed a tweezer to get) and re-hid the cache.

Woo-hoo! Glad to avenge our did-not-find from last year. Plus, even better, we did it on horseback! We’re staying at the awesome Rainbow Trout Ranch nearby and they kindly arranged for a geocaching ride so we could go grab this one. The projection had us at the wrong end of the structure but thankfully I ended up ignoring it. Came very close to dejectedly giving up on this one once again but then I put my hand on it. Thanks for the geocache!

Staying at the nearby ranch and it's on my bucket list to find a cache by horseback. Had a crew of six people with me and we scoured the final location (above and below) for about 30 minutes with no luck.
