This is the second in our series of amazing waterfalls near the town of Jasper, Colorado. The hike is short but on steep, well-trod trail that is very safe. It's appropriately named Treasure Falls.

Note: There is NO cellular service in this area so please download or print these instructions. I was introduced to Treasure Falls almost 20 years ago when I first came to Jasper. Well friends, now I'm sharing this treasure with you! It's almost exactly 13 miles from Jasper heading west on forest road 250. keep right at the Stunner fork, then continue up the winding road beyond the Stunner camp ground. When you get to the twin lakes, take the left fork and continue until you reach the dead end. This is the San Juan Wilderness access area and has a wonderful creek with many smaller waterfalls along the trail. Park anywhere along the side of the road and locate the trail head but do not cross the stream, that's the wrong trail! Take the trail UP the mountain that follows along side Treasure Creek. Enjoy the hike, it's not far but very steep so it will take some time. You are going to the top waterfall which will be 20-30 minutes depending on your speed. You will recognize the main waterfall when you see it because there is a large rock outcropping that you stand on to overlook and enjoy its beauty. After you have taken some time to enjoy the marvel, turn away from the waterfall and take 10 paces. Look around carefully and you'll find our Amazing Waterfall #2 cache. We take pride in maintaining excellent, high-quality caches of outdoor related swag. Please help by bringing any of your unused gear for others to enjoy.

(FTF) That was quite a climb to reach the waterfall but worth it. It was beautiful and so was the waterfall about halfway up. Thanks for placing this geocache here!
