From Highway 160, go south on Forest Service Road 345 and stay left at the Y to 340. The drive to the cache is 4.2 miles from 160. Once parked, walk approximately 100 feet to cache location. Look for a camo ammo container. One may log 3 caches on this road. The first cache is Gateway to Del Norte Peak, log Rock N Roll for the second, and continue on the road to also log the Del Norte Peak geocache.
I consider this our family cache.  My father in law suggested the cache location, the ammo can belonged to my mother in law (she used it as her lunch box when she worked in the mines in Paonia, CO), my brother in law provided the spray paint for the ammo can, my husband did the spray painting, my mom helped with the rock collection, and we placed Elsey the Cow trackable in memory of my dad.

Windy but beautiful day. Cache had standing water in it and log was completely saturated. We drained the water out and added a new log in a new dry baggie. SLTN. Left $$ for the next lucky cachers. Beautiful view. TFTC!
