This cache is in great condition, and like all other caches in the park has been recently maintained. Do not expect to find it at ground zero--you will need to hunt for it a bit, accuracy at this location is about plus or minus 18 feet :-) Enjoy the search! SFSP

I chatted with the park ranger who is now in charge of the caches and she said there had been cache maintenance. The cache is there and in good shape. I didn't have time to try for it this trip.

Fairly steep hike on an OHV road. Nice view of Diamond Peaks, but couldn't find the cache. GPS coordinates took us off the main trail & into the woods. We did a thorough sweep of the area, but no luck. :(

Well, this cache is publicized as a true OHV experience. Today the roads/trails were so wet and muddy that my mountain bike couldn't be used, so it was a true "hiking" experience all the way! It took some time for my puppy Teewinot and me to locate the cache, but it IS findable. It's a great one. My puppy Teewinot hates to be on a leash, but that's a requirement of the park, so she wasn't able to "roam". Nonetheless she had a great time, as I did! The cache is in perfect condition. It's weathered the recent winters and the rains of recent summers very well! Thanks for this fine experience. Signed the log and made the long hike out.

Road to cache was blocked off...couldn't get to it from either direction. :(
