Enjoy a pleasant hike through pines and aspen in a little used Clear Creek County Open Space.
You will be looking for a small camoed container near the summit of the mountain.
The parking at the trailhead is very limited - 2-3 vehicles.
In the vicinity of Crocodile Rock the trail splits. You can go either way for a loop hike. The trail to the left is gentler.
The hike will be about 2 miles round trip with approximately 800 foot elevation gain.

The cache contains an unactivated FTF geocoin.

Found nicely tucked away near the summit of Saddleback early this morning. I enjoyed the well-maintained trail leading to the summit, starting from the bend in Saddle Ridge Drive. There are a couple more caches along the trail, but I didn't feel like stopping for them.

This climbing hike should not be taken lightly. It is a heart pumping 800'+ ascent. At the top it was very blustery with the imminent weather change but I was able to hang on & find this cache. I picked up the TB so it doesn't get stuck for the winter.

Thanks so much for placing a cache up here. Thanks for noting the parking spot. What a great place to take a short hike. There was no one else here today. I will make this cache a favorite. I left off a travel bug. Maybe that will entice others to go up there! Thanks for the cache!

Made a quick trip to Saddleback Mountain to pick up these caches today. Thanks! This is a really nice area, and I was pleasantly surprised that the road was paved all the way to the trailhead. Looks like a trail crew has done a lot of work here with lumber steps/water bars.
