Half mile hike to waterfall, mountain overlook, 500 foot vertical climb. No rock climbing required.
Red lidded Tupperware cache. Disposable camera (take a picture, leave the camera), botany kit, small monster, plane, nose sharpener, foreign coins, squirt gun, etc.

Park at N39 49.359, W105 46.183 which is at the intersection of Berthoud Pass Road (US 40), a few miles west of the divide, and Second Creek. There are no more mountain lions here than anywhere else in the area as far as we know, we just liked the name!

snow made it harder to find it it was definitely worth it! i was hoping the waterfall was close by instead of far off, but the views all around were gorgeous anyway! didn’t see any cats in the rocks nearby.. maybe they were hiding from the cold wind. there’s a note about cats at the trail head but it’s from 2016.

Backpacked a tent & bag way past the Broome Hut yesterday. Stopped by this one on the way back to the car. Very windy at treeline last night. Max & I bedded down where the elk sleep.

I hiked up to the Second Creek cache, checked out the Hut and then headed down to this one. Great view of the waterfall and very peaceful without the rest of the hikers out by this one. Cache has survived another year and is in good shape. Cheers!

Such a great find! Lots of snow today and we made the find just before giving up. Great treasures and a beautiful view. We also took a pic with the camera in the cache, maybe number 18. TFTC.
