Our last cache in this area went missing ! ! so to change it up a little bit..
The last cache was named LUCKY 7.. well that cache was not so lucky, it only lasted less than 7 days..

Hopefully this cache will last longer than 7 days..

I spent about 45 mins crawling around the cliff face on all fours, but struck out for the second time today. I did find a camoed length of drain pipe with a wooden end, but it was empty and lying out in the open so that probably wasn't it. It was also way too low. So I climbed up to the appropriate elevation and scoured the rocks back and forth, but found nothing. The GPS was all but useless in that terrain.

Update: After talking to a couple of previous finders, it seems the pipe container I found was it. It used to hang in a tree higher up (I was sent a picture of the tree), and since I scrambled up to that tree and well beyond, I'm going to go ahead and claim this one.

I figured I should close out the month with a D/T combination that I hadn't gotten yet, so this was it. I've driven up and down Hwy 7 many times on caching expeditions. but the standard roadside park-n-grabs don't really interest me. This cache, with it's steep short climb definitely held my interest. Thanks for the effort of getting such a robust container up there! I took a tiny foreign coin and left a smashed penny.

I came up to Lyons and west to check out the recovery from the flood damage. The damage is amazing. I can't imagine what the rivers looked like. I found and didn't find a number of caches that hadn't been found since the flood. I spotted a route that fit the hint. Went for it and got it. Thanks for the hide CACHEJUNKIES. SL Ron
