Gave it my best shot, I don't think it is there any more. Thanks for the adventure, cache or no cache.

Catching up on my logs I have found since 9/25/16
Found with animjason.
Had to grab this other oldie while we were in the area. It took awhile to spot, but we both cheered once I spotted it, thanks for keeping this one active. We just adopted the old Frazer Meadow cache after finding it, and then grabbed this one while we were here.

Was in the area grabbing a 2002 cache and we had to come grab this one as well. Thanks for keeping this active for so long. Interesting location. Has some cooking utensils inside too. Great to see original Log inside. Dropped a trackable. Fave.
Thanks Edward and Paul! Logged Covert Cabin using a seventh galaxy!

Our last day in Colorado. We wanted it to be an outdoor-day and we succeeded. Golden Gate Canyon State Park is within easy reach from Boulder and it offers a variety of hiking trails.
Before entering the park via the north-west entrance, we stopped at the Peak to Peak cache. Better safe than sorry, right?
We selected the Mule Deer trail starting at Panorama Point. We followed the trail meticulously with one noteworthy exception. The Covert Cabin was just too tempting to pass. This would likely be the area to meet the bears and mountain lions featured on the warning signs. Did it belong to John Frazer or maybe William Kriley? We learnt about the two men after discovering the Frazier Meadows Cache.
Later, we passed near the homestead of Hugh McCammon, detected witnesses of the information age in the middle of nowhere, and signed the log of -TwoCs- Bootlegged. Although we could hear the thunder in the distance and see dark clouds moving about after leaving the Frazier Meadows Cache behind us, we got only a few drops of rain.
We left the park via the Golden Gate Canyon Road, briefly stopping for one last cache at Golden Gate Canyon 05.

Found this one on my birthday (5/20/2016) Boy, were we waaaaay off the trail to find this guy. Totally worth it, beautiful May Day and I was even able to get high enough to that I got to throw a snowball for the first time ever on my birthday!

Wow what a hike. We followed some of Mule Deer trail then what looked to be like an old trail then bushwhacked / scrambled to the cabin. Such a great hide. I would love to know the story about the cabin TFTC & happy birthday njridgeway

[What a cool hide! Thanks for bringing us to a unique site - would never have found this without a cache to lead us here.
We started from Panorama Point - the GPS read .72 to the cache as the crow flies - and add in some wandering around and wrong turns (and some decent uphill) ... I wouldn't exactly call this "a half mile of light climbing". :) We did NOT go into any areas marked for re-forestation, but did end up doing some scrambling over boulders until we located the old trail/double track that led us up to the area. Taking the doubletrack/trail down was much easier!
Our 6 year old found the cache right away, so I think it may be a matter of perspective. :)
Here's a hint for locating the old trail which will make it much easier:] From Panorama Point, take Mule Deer to the Harmsen Access trail. The old trail departs from the Harmsen Access trail which is NOT on the G.G. park map. I believe it was between the 2nd and 3rd trail marker - there's a small clearing of aspen trees and the trail starts there. The old trail is not easily visible from the Harmsen Access trail.

Up camping at Golden Gate. Really wanted to find this one. Previous descriptions of those who had found it really helped. Approaching from the SE side was able to find the old trail. Once I found the cabin it took awhile to find the cache. Glad I didn't give up. Great cache. Will mark as one of my favorites.

Stayed the weekend at the Harmeson house. Hiked right up from the house. & it took almost an hour. Then took normal trail down & we were back in 15 mins. Awesome cache.
