My GPS unit was acting pretty strangely while we were looking which made things pretty difficult. We were about to give up until my wife spotted it on our way out. TFTC!

me and my 8 year old daughter had a great time looking but just couldnt find it. i know we were close and she didnt want to give up, but the rains were coming and it was getting late in the day and we planned on looking for others on the way home. This was a great hike and a wonderful daddy-daughter day. We even saw the first of the six moose we saw that day,on the hike back to the parking area. this was a dissapointment for us, however it was only our third cache we have looked for and we will try again later this summer.
where is it?

Took the advice of the FS and took the Stillwater Pass road #125 around and out by way of Highway 34 - good advice. A little bit of snow coated the higher mountains, but otherwise, a great fall day to enjoy the hike to this cache. Took care of some TB business, TN and L Souvenir Cache Cards. TFTC.

Tried this one 4 years ago with my old Magellan and searched for over an hour in about a 200' area with no luck. Returned this time with my Garmin Vista C (now over 3 years old!) and walked right to it! What a difference technology makes in this game. We took a key chain & left a maze toy. I still think this lake is beautiful, especially when you are the only ones here. It snowed while we were here this time.

Nice hike after a nice drive to this area. The Aspen trees are in all of their Fall glory! Found this one pretty quickly after getting to the area. Attached a photo of this pretty Rocky Mountain location. T - the Animal Tracking book, a glow stick and toy car for our grandkids. L - toy airplane, dream catcher and a specimen of Parker Petrified Wood from our Parker, CO neighborhood. SL TFTC and the hike!
