I was forced to make a detour while on my way through the area and came upon Nevadaville. At one point in the distant past this was a thriving little town, I counted 5 buildings still standing including the City Hall/Fire Department.

This cache is placed in one of the only logical places to place a cache in this little town. There are some No Trespassing signs in the area. There is no need to trespass.

Headed up to the mountains today to escape some of the heat in the city. Great day to explore an area that we had not been to before.

Pulled off road and looked around, but could not find in the 3 or 4 most likely locations. Nobody around, but I felt like there were eyes on me. A little spooky.

Day 3 of 3 days in the mountains finding caches, checking on our caches, gambling and even hiding 2 caches. We were lucky - it was supposed to rain starting about noon but held off until we were almost home. What an interesting little town. So glad your cache brought us here. It took us a while before we got our hands on it.
