THIS CACHE IS AVAILABLE ALL YEAR, EVEN IF THE CAMPGROUND IS CLOSED FOR THE WINTER.

Recommend parking at the listed parking waypoint, and walking straight to the cache; when the campground is closed, there is a gate across the gravel campground access road off of Rampart Range Road that is closed, preventing motor vehicles from entering the camping area.  That gate is to the north of both parking and the cache location, and a waypoint is listed.

From the US Forest Service website:  This campground is located 1.7 miles east of Woodland Park on Rampart Range Road 300. This campground has 13 sites. This is a standard, nonelectric campground. Firewood, shelter and water are not provided. There is tight space for vehicles with a maximum limit of 30 feet.  This is a first-come, first-served campground. No reservation is required.

TFTC I am back in Woodland Park for the summer. I am working on some of my statistics and challenges. I was out of town when this one published and did not get back before dark. As usual getting to the cache before sunrise was not enough to beat Hartsdale to a blank log.
