This is my effort to get more folks to this beautiful park. I went to check on my other cache, "Ed's Thinkin' Spot", and decided to place a string of caches along the way.

Geo-dog and I stopped for a break and placed one here. This location is about midway between the upper and lower reservoirs. It's a fairly easy hike from the Pat Creek side.

Stopped by on way to ETS. Looked in all obvious niches in 30 ' radius, but nothing there. Not going to waste much time here, need to get a move on.

Wow...I scoured the outcrop for this one. Probably spent 20-30 minutes in an area where you should be able to check each nook and cranny in less than 15 minutes. Dog got bored and wandered away while I was searching (I sometimes drop the leash while in the middle of a hunt). I started down the trail with the other dog (the one I was sitting) towards my ultimate goal - Ed's Thinkin Spot. But when I reached the end of the trail, my dog still hadn't found us, despite my constant calling. Didn't feel right to descend into the canyon while dog was still missing (even though the geocache was within a 1/4-mile). Turned around. Found dog about halfway back to Wagon Crash. I'll have to find Ed's Thinkin Spot another day.

Can't believe it-this is find #5,000 for me. What a milestone. Feels like I should have a party! With that being said, finding it was a bit of a challenge for me. I knew it had to be in the rocks, but where. I finally spotted it & it should have been easier, but I went the wrong way a few times first. Here is another metal container that is rusted shut. I had to use my multi-tool again. I am always afraid of slipping and gouging my hand or arm. Another favorite point for placing a cache where I can still ride my horse.

Yep, that sure looks like a wagon crash. Quick find and stamp.
