Thorns  Park and Grab

Cowboy was riding shotgun on the Cortez-Durango stagecoach  Shane, Cowboy’s best friend, was driving.  Cowboy glanced up to see a man franticly waving his hat The man came running when the stage stopped.  “Howdy stranger” Cowboy said, “You kinda look familiar”.  The man’s clothes were dirty and torn, his rifle was all beat up and he was bleeding from some deep cuts to the side of his face and arm.  “Looks like you been in a bar room brawl or something?” asked Cowboy.  “Naw, I was hunting for a mule deer buck to bring in some new fresh meat for the  K-D Ranch kitchen and my horse stepped in a prairie dog hole and I went flying out of my saddle. My horse left me stranded and ran back to the ranch”. “Oh, that is where I remember you from.  Is your name Bucky by any chance? And don’t you have a pretty sister named Cheyenne?” asked Cowboy.  “Yep, I sure do” said the stranger.

“Well, Bucky, climb aboard and we will drop you off at the K-D Ranch as we pass by.  And put in a good word to your sister for me, will ya?”

Visiting Cortez from Ephrata, Pennsylvania and spending the day at Mesa Verde. Enjoying this little town and its geocaches after dinner. I found the cache but was not able to get the log out of the container. I did not have any tweezers without going back to the hotel room, so I have a photograph if the geocache owner would like to see . Thanks for the hide!
