Needs maintenance

This one is in Browns Park, within easy walking distance from the Coke ovens, near Greystone. Easy access for passenger cars.
If you are into a little history this cache is for you. Take a drive into the old west and the Browns park area to the Coke ovens which were built in the early 1900's and used to smelt copper from a mine located about 8 miles from them. Once you get to the coke ovens fire up the GPS and head out you are within 600 feet of the cache when standing at the gate into the coke ovens. Check out the old dugout just south east of the ovens and be sure to wear sturdy foot wear and be cautious os snakes. Once you find the cache ( a light tan metal canister 7" dia by 12" high) inside you will find Casino token cup, waterproof matches, ear plugs, casino dice, match books, etc............................. Enjoy

Orphan cache so helped out a bit while there. Cleaned out the container and added a new log. Otherwise, the cache is in great shape. The hint no longer applies but the container is still hidden in the wreckage. This cache is worth maintaining by the visiting population of cachers.

Cache container in fairly good shape. Lots of crap in there that is rusted, or moldy. The log is all damp moldy, mildewy smelling. Signed the log. took nothing left nothing.TFTH

Found it! Fun old pickup! Someone Please please please help this geocache out! It’s in dire need of a new container and a ziplock for the log!! It was sitting out in the weather. We tried to build it a shelter the best we could, but it won’t last long! We come out about once a year, so hopefully someone will beat us to the replacement!
