Well I (sun) was out placing caches with some other cachers one day when rocketman told me how much he liked hiding caches in rock piles. I on the other hand hate rock pile caches and will generally pass them up. So rocketman here is to you and your rock pile caches. Sorry to every other cacher out there who hates rock pile caches, I have had a bad influence on my caching perception and star couldn't help me make the right choice.

The cache itself is a 30mm Ammo can all decked out with a geocaching sticker which we didn't fill out completely, a large log book, pen, swag, and some trackables to start things off with.

Well as much as I hated hiding this cache here, please enjoy.

FYI - supposedly this is on private property. Got yelled at and run off by lady in the cabin close by.

Found it fairly quickly with the help of my family, which was a relief, due to parking restrictions here. It is a cool rock pile. Thanks for this cache!

Two years ago after I accompanied a good friend up Mt. Bierstadt we looked for this well-hidden cache, having no luck. Today I programmed it again, planning to look for it after making the hike for the "chicken" series off the Guanella Pass Road above Georgetown. So my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo and I bailed out of the car at the nearby parking spot and headed into the talus. This time I was successful, pulling in the cache and signing the log. It's been 2 years since the previous find, so this one needs more attention by cachers. Thanks for it, starnsun!
