I wonder if I am the first to do a little catch and release between these two hides.
Pretty quiet back in here this morning only one ATV headed up as we passed alittle farther down the road.
Quite a series of Caches you have back in here!
Thanks!

Set up camp about a mile away and went after this one on foot. Good thing I brought along my portaging boots. Geohound did not need any boots.

I've had my eye on this series of caches along this 4WD road for a couple of years. I finally convinced my huggle to tackle it today. We borrowed my parents Montero which is by far not the best 4WD vehicle but by all write-ups this shouldn't have been too difficult & we should make it at least to the Santiago Mine. This is the 1st time we have taken their car by ourselves, usually they like to go, but they had plans for a movie that night.
The beginning of this road eliminates all SUV style vehicles but we made it with minimal challenge so were feeling pretty good. When we got to within 200' +/- of this cache I realized it was straight down a very steep hill & there was no creek crossing nearby. It took us a while to figure out we were on the wrong road! We continued past this one & actually ended up hiking up the road to this one on our way out because this lower road along the creek was far too difficult for the Montero. It was getting pretty dark, but we did find it.
