Our first cache!

We wanted this one to be placed within easy hiking/biking distance for kids. Most easily accessed from the Buchanan Rec Center parking area but there are also several other trailhead options. Elk meadows is a popular spot for Geocaches so we placed this in one of the remaining unoccupied areas.

Can't wait to see when people log this one :)

Bummer Dude! We noticed this new hide pop up and since we have found every other cache in this park we decided to make a run at it first thing this morning before the rain starts. GZ put us in the middle of a field of tall grass 350 feet from the trail, with nothing resembling a "fence" from the hint. The puppy did wind sprints while I searched a bush and log that were about 90 feet from GZ but no dice. The CO might want to check the coordinates on this one, with a dedicated GPS receiver. At least we got a 3 mile hike in, so that's something. I'll keep an eye on it......
