Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  No Difficult climbing  Available at all times  Available during winter  Cliff / falling rocks  Parking available  Public restrooms nearby  Picnic tables nearby  No Medium hike (1km-10km)

IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT CLIMBING UP FROM THE SHOULDER OF A ROAD TO FIND THIS CACHE, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!!!!! Park at coords N39°40.984' by W-105°36.481' and go DOWNHILL for this one. Mountainous terrain, fairly well hidden at 9753' elevation. Watch for loose rock and slippery footing. PLEASE BE SAFE.
This is an ammo-can initially filled with trinkets, toys, a wooden nickle, two "Fallen Hero's" Geocoins, a logbook and a pen. The cache is hidden in a picnic area with limited, basic 'facilities'. Children could find this cache with lots of parental supervision. The area is typical Rocky Mountain terrain, so expect some rocks and underbrush. Fallen and cut trees have made this hide a lot more "interesting". Please be sure to return everything the way you found it. Watch for Muggles. The cache was placed with a Garmin E-Trex GPS with the DOP reading 6ft accuracy. This is my first cache and was placed in remembrance of a wonderful day spent at this location.

This cache was transferred to silver-eagle as Tink's-Lover could no longer care for it. Please direct all questions and comments to silver-eagle. Thanks

Congratulations to isisfan for being FTF!!!

Ants seems to have found our cache too - - beware!! Sturdy footware seems to be in order.

If you find a Geocoin in this cache, and decide to take it, please leave one in its place. That way there will always be a coin for the next lucky person. Thanks !!

This was our second try only because the first time, the area had several families picnicking. We found it today and explored some of the area. Great cache!

Our 6th and final cache of the day. We flew to Colorado for the long weekend to hike and summit some 14ers. We landed at DEN this morning around 7:30, picked up our rental car, and immediately drove to Mt. Evans. Great way to acclimate to the altitude by driving to 14,000+' for a short hike. We stopped by to hunt this cache on our way down the mountain. Found it quickly once in the right area. The aspen leaves nearby were a brilliant shade of yellow during our visit. Many thanks.

Very nice spot, and thanks for putting the part about going downhill in the description. We pulled over quite a lot before the place where we were supposed to and it would’ve been an impossible upward climb. Tftc

When we saw a 4.5 train rating I thought it might be more difficult than it was. Thank you for the wonderful view there is no way we would’ve gone here without geocaching.
