This park needed a quick cache to go along with the two more difficult ones up on the steep hills. Spring Creek Park is one of the newer parks in the area. This was once an active mining area and several remnants of the original structures can still be seen along the trails.

This is a small container with room for a few trade items. Stealth may be required. The cache area is in plain view from the picnic area. Please do not hunt for it if the picnic area is in use. Daylight hours only--the park is closed after dark.

Nearing the end of day for caching. What a great day of caching with family. Taking the TB that is here in the cache back to Maine for some more traveling.

When I drove up to the park There was a big roll off in the driveway and barricades at each end. There was debris everywhere from last Monday's flash flood. I was beginning to wonder if the cache was still going to be here. I got to GZ there was rocks, gravel and tree branches in the way. Once I got it all moved there it was the cache safe and sound. The next thing was it full of water. Opened it up and it was all dry even the log. I was really surprised with the amount of water that flowed through here. The resident that I talked with said " in the 47 years she live here this was the worst she has seen it. She estimated that there was a a 27' wall of water that came through". There is a significant amount of damage to the park. The resident stated that there will be a clean up tomorrow 7/28 Saturday. I did take some photos of some of the damage in the park.
This was also my 1300th find. It's only taken 14 years to get here.

Thanks for the cache

Heading back home after camping near Monarch and detoured over here for the new cache. My nephew made the quick find and rehid it very well. I always enjoy visiting this little park.
