In the hills above Nederland, Colorado. Forest service land. Pretty easy hiking, but uphill.
Cache is a medium peanut butter jar, about 4" diameter and 6" high. Some nice items to start with. Likely to be snow-covered during the winter after a storm, but faces the south so will be cleared soon. Elevation is about 9112 feet, near the head of a valley. I had eight satellites when I placed it. Parking is off FS Road 355, high clearance vehicle needed, or at least recommended. This is a bad road. The last quarter mile (past the Dead End sign) is four wheel. Lots of single track bikes and trails in the area.

Took a little bit of bushwhacking since my phone's GPS was not responding well (said I was still 18 ft off the GZ when I found it) but title helped a lot. Also by this point the area had been well-weathered and wasn't obvious to the naked eye where it could be.

I found this one with Nickgatt. We wanted to escape the 90 plus degrees temperature, so we headed towards Nederland and spent the day hiking in the mountains.TFTC SL.

@3:00:00 PM #17116 killian33 and I cached around Nederland today. It was warm, but very comfortable in the shade. There were 10 caches on a 4 1/2 mile hike. TFTC
