Starting from the parking area on CR80, be prepared for just about 4.5 miles of walking along what is overall a very nice trail. Enjoy the view when when you have the cache in hand.

Nice place to be. I got an early start this morning and beat the mad rush to this cache. I aired out the log paper and the baggie, so they're good to go. The O-ring is missing from the container, so I screwed the lid on extra tight. Thanks for placing this one!

We'd gone multiple times into Button Rock Reservoir and logged that way. We decided to approach this one from the other end, taking 47 down in, grabbing the Ruins and hiking the trails east. Beautiful views.

Cache was well hidden. Intact. Secure. Ziplock so warped it wasn't sealed. Thought log was in worse shape that it is. Definitely water damage but still has structure and takes ink. Could stand to air dry for a few hours and replace small baggie.

Great location. Great view. So secluded. Can't believe it's been almost 10 months since the last log. TFTH

Got about 2/3 of way out there from the direction of the dam, and then I ran out of shore line; the reservoir is really high right now!

I should have stayed on the high terrain on my way west from Flea-Bitten Lion.

Wow - almost 2 years since the last find! I'd planned to get out here sooner but decided to wait until I had someone to hike with. Considering the distance it was a pretty easy hike (except for one short section at the 3.5 mile mark where I was wondering how I was going to get back down on the return but it turned out to be not bad). Neat area out there!

What a great spot! Got lucky and spotted the cache right away. The log was stuffed in pretty tight but sassydil had the right extraction tool. I'm giving this a favorite point for the location and the nice hike. Will try to post some pics. tftc!
