Take hwy 62 west out of Ridgeway then turn south on county road 7. About 10 miles to trail head on a rough forest road.
This is a 3.3 mile hike and 2000 feet in elevation gain to about 11070 feet (very strenous hike). However it is well worth it as the beutiful Blue lakes is the real tresure here. The Cache includes a Colorado hat pin, a novel, a word puzzle book and a pencil and log book. Sorry, no extra oxygen bottles. Have a nice hike and take lots of pictures.

My girlfriend and I climbed the class 3 ridge route on Sneffels today. While we could not find the summit cache, we quickly found this one on our hike out. What a beautiful area! TFTC!

What a beautiful trail, with the forest, the lakes and the stunning views. This is the first geocache we did ten years ago when my mom started geocaching. What a very big surprise when my brother and I found a Swiss flag we had drawn ten years ago when we were 9 and 11 years old still in cache. It was pretty amazing.

Saw all three blue lakes today - best hike of a week long trip! So many amazing sights- the blue lake, the overwhelming mountains, the snow and rushing streams, the ice covered lake... Thanks for placing a cache that is easy to find so I could spend my time enjoying nature, not searching for a cache. TFTC

This was a beautiful hike! We did it with two kids, ages 8 and 12. They had no trouble at all getting to the lower lake, but we decided to turn back at that point and not wear them out completely. Saw TONS of people on the trail (on a Thursday, no less) but had the lower lake to ourselves for a short while. Had no trouble finding the cache, and it's in good condition. Took nothing, left nothing, signed the log. Thanks for adding a little bonus to this adventure - it was one of the best hikes I've ever done!

Wow definitely gets a favorite point for the hike and the location! Still lots of wildflowers in the area. Distant vistas were very obscured today by the smoke from wild fires. tftc, found no problem!

Got this today on a beautiful day... it was an adventure - the weather gave us that part! Lots of hail and rain and thunder on the way down. FUN DAY!!!

Had found this cache 4 years ago and wanted to revisit it after our hike up to the beautiful blue lakes. The wild flowers were even more spectacular than I remembered! Thanks for making this one of my most favorite caches of all time!??
