This Cache is close to the trail head of Miners Creek Trail. It is off the road and a short climb. Green Plastic Ammo case.

Over the years, we have come up Miners Creek road to spend the day exploring the creek and making S'mores.

The Miner's Creek trail is 7 miles long. It begins at the end of Miners Creek Road ( Forest Road 507 ) and ends at Forest Trail 787.

Good fishing is possible in the upper 2/3 of the Miners Creek Drainage.  Opportunities to see elk are possible in the early morning and late evenings.  Good camping sites exist along all but the lower segments of this trail.  The trail crosses Miners Creek several times in the first 2 miles.  Foot crossings can be dangerous during early summer runoff.  Scenery and solitude are available along this trail.

My Daughter and I went up and checked the cache out. All looks good. There has been quite a bit of new tree growth around that was not there a few years ago.

Visiting from Texas and and wanted to get out and do some geocaching today in Pagosa Springs. It's a beautiful fall day – loving this weather!
Wow - that was quite the climb for this . Maybe I should pay more attention to the terrain ratings LOL. Wife gave me a scolding about all the what ifs - broke something; ruin rest of vacation; in the middle of nowhere; getting help, etc etc.
Ammo can and contents are in good condition. TFTC!

Nice cache with a short steep climb to reach it. Looks like the last entry on the paper log was exactly one year ago. Everything in great shape inside and outside the cache. Took nothing left nothing signed log. Thanks for the cache taking us to a nice spot. We really liked the grassy meadow by the creek. Team Badnav from Arizona.
