Great place to go fishing or sight seeing. Easy and fast cache. If you are going fishing at Sylvan Lake, this spot is a good option. The cache is located at the junction of several roads. It is most easily accessed by taking Brush Creek road from the town of Eagle. Continue on the road past the main entrance to Sylvan Lake, towards Crooked Creek Pass. From the parking lot at the cache, you can fish in the creek above the lake, or with a short hike on a nice trail you can fish the inlet end of Sylvan. This is a great option to get away from the crowds at the outlet end of the lake. If you are going to do this, you need to purchase a park pass from the booth at the entrance to Sylvan Lake. The roads from the cache will either take you over to Gypsum Creek Road, Hardscrabble Road or Crooked Creek Pass. Great drives to Gypsum, Eagle and Basalt respectively. Cache is a small tupperware container. It is only accessible in the summer. Our fist hide. Happy Caching!

08/23/2017 By uciphd I wanted to check this cache out because I was interested in fishing Sylvan Lake and this might be some kind of secret spot. Haha. Cool thing we saw on the drive over were several marmots hanging out on the rocks. In the end we decided to return to the main lot, have a nice lakeside picnic and walk around the lake. TFTC
