Short hike to a beatuful spot. It's worth the drive, and the time to check out other caches in the area as well.

Park at camping parking for Idylease campground. About a 5-minute hike in on the Chickadee trail. Trail is narrow and has some loose rocks. Lots of songbirds and wildflowers when the cache was set. Cache is in medium-sized tin. The name of the cache will make sense from this spot.

My goal today was to get the new Trail Mix #25 cache and clear out the north side trails. Goal accomplished! This one took a little bit to find, but was able to sign the log before heading back to my truck.Cheers!

Parked in main/west lot. Up Hummingbird (80% clear) to North Fork (50% clear). Out and back to TM #25 cache (all clear to get to cache) on North Fork, then down Chickadee (95% snow) to Hummingbird and across the road to Songbird (95% snow) and back to parking. About 5.5 mi loop.

We enjoyed finding your cache on a beautiful morning! Yes, the lid is rusty and hard to remove. However, everything is fine anyway. Thanks for the cache!

Great view up here.
I see what you mean with the name.
Lid was a bit rusty and hard to open.

It was a nice day, but managed to slip on the ice on the little switchback section of the trail. Great view of the Scraggy peaks to the south. Lots of little chickadees and nuthatches keeping us company the entire way. Found a nesting box on the ground near GZ, so tried to place it in a nearby pondo.

Gorgeous mountain view from a serene spot. No GPS signal so navigated by geosense. Tin container hard to open. Left Crater Lake and soldier. K7

Beautiful spot! Somebody put a crayon inside the cache though and it looks like it has started to melt :(
