Altitude is 11,160 ft but walk is fairly level if you stick to the path along the lake.
Park at N 39 25.00 W 106 10.29 and don't forget your fishing rod as you hike the path on the east side of the reservoir. The cache is a half gallon rubbermaid thermal jug and though it is only 50 - 100 ft from the path, the Lovely Linda recommends long pants for this short distance. The views are spectacular so don't end the hike just because you've covered the .6 miles from parking lot to cache. As with all high altitude hiking, make sure you carry water and you drink it!

Contents of the cooler are: log book, 2 pens, pencil, drink insulator, slot machine pencil sharpener, golf tees, 4 foreign coins, U.S. flag, ice scraper, key chain, 2 sets Mardi Gras beads and an AT&T prepaid phone card.

This was our first time around this beautiful lake. May have to increase difficulty due due thickness of brush.

Rain last night was not in the plan. I ended up pretty wet after swimming through the vegetation. But what a nice location, and a good hike to start the day. Thanks for keeping this oldie going.

Had a nice walk to this one, had to pick my way through game trails to get close to the cache. Enjoyed the view and the quiet and the hike. Thanks for placing this one

11:20 During our 10 days in USA we did a fully packed roadtrip and have been to many National parks, which we have not been into in the past. Several times we decided to spontaneously to stop at no-name places which promised nice walk or short hike. Clinton gulch was the typical example. Traditional cache 1km from parking provided enough motivation to enjoy the freedom in the mountains. The weather was fabulous, finally no winds today and just the wilderness. The walk was relaxing, the final approach to the cache slightly bush whacking and there it was a stylish traditional cache.
Thanks for this cache so much! One of the highest physical caches ever for sure!

Clinton Gulch is one of our favorite areas, especially to fish. It's a nice hike, summer, fall and winter. The snows are starting to fall here in the high country. Fortunately the trail is easily passable even with a few patches of snow, mud and bog areas. Our girls (two cocker spaniels) sure enjoyed the hike.

We might be the last ones to find until the snow melts. There was significant water in your cache. We emptied it. Not sure how it got in as it's a great container. The log is dry and still in plastic bag. No need to worry now. Might check in late spring.

We left pink boxing gloves key chain to fight like a girl in celebration of 20 years cancer survivor and an army man in honor of our nephew serving in the army. TFTC

Was a challenge finding a good approach in the last 200 ft. Eventually walked to a clearing near Trailside, walked uphill then level on the hillside to the cache, walked back down with the direction of flowing water and back to the car. Nice cache, thanks for placing!

What a beautiful area! Thanks for putting a cache here which enticed us to explore this trail. The closer we came to GZ, the muddier the trail became, but we continued on. One team member remained on the trail with the dog, while the other negotiated the tangled mess of bushes to GZ. Found cache in good shape. SL T4T{:)] Awarding this a favorite point for its scenic beauty.
