Not sure but this may be the highest natural lake in Colorado. At least it is the highest one I have been too.
Well there may be an easier way to get to this cache than the one I took, straight up a scree field from Mohawk valley. Once you get to the lake go up just a little more to get to the cache. I wanted to put it closer to the lake but was afraid the snow would limit the finds.

Thanks for putting your cache a ways above the tarn. Otherwise, it would have been under snow.

There were so many places to look, that I was happy to read the hint. Thanks for the cache!

Thanks for placing this here. I needed it to help fulfill the Colorado 13er Challenge (GC3T367).
I needed the hint which then made it easy.

I parked in Mayflower Gulch today and made my way to the summit of Atlantic Peak. Then I dropped down near Pacific Tarn and found and signed in on your nicely located cache. I found it quickly once at GZ. I then made my way on up to the summit of Pacific Peak, before dropping off it and getting back into Mayflower Gulch and my jeep. Fantastic hike/climb around an incredible loop! I didn't run into anyone else today and the weather cooperated. Thanks!

Sure wish I had been able to do this one when ernie66 and I did Sandalcidi. He warned me that this cache would probably come out any day, but I'm an impatient person. So today, WingsAndTales, ernie66 and I decided another hike to the area was well worth an Adrenalin Junkie FTF. After much research, we decided the best route was to start at the McCullough Gulch Trailhead. Ernie66 also wanted to place a cache on the summit of Pacific. We hadn't originally planned a hike to the summit of Atlantic, but that plan changed as we approached the saddle between the two Centennial 13ers. WingsAndTales planted a cache on that summit.

I believe this was one of the hardest hikes I have done to date…you have to be very fond of rock hopping and rock clinging for 8 hours. The views, needless to say, were spectacular, and I'm sure that as soon as my knees and feet are back to normal, I will add this hike to my favorites, but not now.
