This cache is located at the end of the Metberry Gulch Trail along the South Platte River.

To get to this cache a 4-wheel drive high clearance vehicle is required, (the reason for the 4.5 terrian), or a 4.5 mile hike each way from the trail head.

This area was closed after the Hayman fire in 2002 but is now open. The area is very scenic.

The trail is very remote and we suggest that you do not go alone. The cache elevation is 7260 feet. A short easy uphill hike of .13 mile is required to reach the cache from the parking area.

Yahoo!! Congratulations to SuperDolph for FTF !

Backpacked in and stayed overnight. A beautiful place. Even saw some cows down there. Not sure how they got there? Found the cache in good shape. It was a tuff climb out up that steep hill. TFTC.

Nabbed it while out fishing. Now I've caught as many geocaches as I did fish.

Wasn't expecting it to be a difficult hike so I had my one year old. I carried her the entire way. I'm exhausted but thankfully we found it.
