a cache for the common explorer - no premier status required.
Not to disparage those PREMIER Geocache members – but – we were a wee bit concerned that the only Cache in the amazingly beautiful region of Colorado did not have a cache available to the common cacher.

Thus we created this Common Geocache @ Slack-Weiss.

Research into the history of this very relaxing and popular site has been in vain. We welcome anyone to provide a history to its creation. And that of Nineger Reservoir.

Our exploration has also found – very sadly – the demise of both Willow and Beaver Lakes. For reasons unknown to us, these historic fishing havens have been drained by the diversion of the natural water flows. Again, your knowledge of this travesty will be most appreciated.

With happiness of heart and a continuing (and shared by you) sense of adventure, we offer this cache for the common citizen.

5 pairs of experienced eyes and 30 minutes and we came up with nothing but a lot of stickers and scratches :-(

I think this one is missing. We both had a good clear reading and looked at the obvious place, but no luck. Searched the area but had no luck with that either.

We were unable to find this cache. I was using my phone so it might not have been the most accurate but we searched the area and came back empty handed. I was so excited to see one up here. Once I get an actual gps I will place one in the area.
