Park City began as a stage stop along the Mosquito Pass Road and eventually grew when a railroad spur ran through the town on its way to the London Mill and Mines. At its peak, Park City had a population of 300, but like many mining settlements it fell into disuse after the mining busts. Today, Park City is along the popular route over Mosquito Pass and for the annual pack burro race during Burro Days. Park City also hosts the signage declaring when the pass is open for travel…at your own risk!

Go west from highway 9 on County Road 12 through Park City. After passing through the town, turn left on County Road 698 and park when you get to a clearing.

Getting close to the end of the day. Lots of work finding only 6 today. Couldn’t find three but will get after it tomorrow. Great day, great caches!

Our Nuvi tried taking us down roads that we didn't want to drive or that simply didn't exist. We gave up and backtracked and tried another approach and drove right to it. Thanks!

Working on the South Park GeoTour this morning. It was so peaceful and quiet while walking to GZ and the light snow falling made it perfect! TFTC and GeoTour, South Park NHA!

We are staying in Keystone for the Independence Day weekend. Yesterday we cached around Hoosier path, but I didn't have Alma area caches loaded to my phone, and coverage was too slow, even in Fairplay, to download caches in the field.

So last night I downloaded Alma area and after watching the kids (and grownup dad type kids) fishing derby we headed back to Alma, with the primary goal of some Caching South Park caches.

We were trying to figure out how to get to CSP - Paris Mill. Eventually we realized we were in the wrong drainage. I did a quick sort on my phone to see what other CSP caches were nearby. This one showed up.

The wimpy Rogue was able to make it to the clearing, and the cache was a quick find.

Signed the log KAJW. Grabbed code. Took nothing. Left nothing. Thanks for the cache!

On a South Park Maintenance run, and this cache was on the list of caches that needed some love.

I actually found this one in excellent shape! I added some drying agent to the log bag (who knows if we'll ever see precipitation again), and a couple of log sheets with the code printed on them. Thanks for the fun find!
