“COLORADO SPIRIT QUEST”

 

The Colorado Spirit Quest is a series of caches placed by many individuals near cemeteries and historic sites to pay respect the many pioneer ancestors that "walked" before us.

There are numerous cemeteries in the rural and mountain communities across Colorado.  This series introduces you to many of them; some of the cache pages also provide a "virtual history tour" of the cemeteries and tombstones. After you've located the cache container, please take a moment to reflect on the lives of the pioneers represented here, and the effort it took to make Colorado a great state.


Colorado Spirit Quest (CSQ) is not affiliated with any other Spirit Quest group.  Special thanks to SixDogTeam who started the Indiana Spirit Quest in 2004. The idea has rapidly spread into many states. The CSQ endeavor is an enormous task, and cannot be accomplished by just one or two cachers.  This project only can flourish due to the participation of many volunteers.

The Morrison Cemetery was established about 1875 just north of the town of Morrison. The cemetery itself is not open to the public and you DO NOT need to go past the signs to find the cache.

This cache keeps disappearing AND the cemetery is off-limits, so this one doesn’t even really qualify as a CSQ cache. I no longer live in the area, so this one is up for adoption. PM me if you’d like to take over this cache before it’s archived.

Trouvée "près" dune des pierres, comme l'indice le précisait. C'est une belle cachette, quoi que assez difficile de retirer la cache. Thanks
