Mount Hope rises to 13,933'. If it was 70 feet or so taller, it would be amongst the most heavily visited mountains in Colorado. It's slight lack of stature in no way reduces its grandeur. As is, it is one of Colorado's Centennial 13ers.

From the cache location we saw marmots, pikas, and ptarmigans.

The first time I climbed this peak was so long ago, I guess you could say that I got tired of being so hopeless and had to come back. Thanks for the quality cache and location!

Well after a summer of training for the LT100, I'm back. I felt it was only fitting to climb Hope Pass again for a high altitude geocache. I have climbed this pass both ways, many-many times this summer, while recon'ing for LT100. Today I climbed it for a fun day, and then I went on to the top of Mount Hope. What a great summit. Thanks for the extra excuse to climb this famous pass, one more time this summer.

I had a great time hiking to the summit of Mt. Hope with RDAD today. Thanks for the cache at such a beautiful location.

I had a very enjoyable hike with CNC today up Mt Hope. We spent plenty of time on our trek enjoying the near perfect day up through the changing aspens and on to the summit, where the views are truly spectacular. We located the nicely stocked ammo box quickly and signed in. We lounged around for quite awhile before we finally decided to drop off the summit and make our way downward by a different route. Thanks!!

That was quite a hike but reaching the top made it all worth it. I approached from the Sheep Gultch tailhead while Spivey was training for the LT100. The weather was beautiful the whole way. Thanks for the high altitude adventure right where I needed one. Swapped trackables.
