This is the fourth cache in our "Coniferous" series.  The container is hidden on a ridge northeast and below the summit of Blodgett Peak.  We found it easier to approach the ridge from below and from the east/southeast.

Congratulations to Kerewin0430 for FTF!!!!!

Wow FTF at 6:30 AM. I would have had to start out at 4:30 or perhaps even 4:00 to get up here by 6:30. Not sure I would have wanted to make that steep ascent in the dark or at dawn. I need full light to see where I was going. I think that this cache needs one more attribute signed. It would have shorten my search. TFTC.

WingsandTales and I did a nice loop today ( up one ridge on Blodgett and down another ) after parking at West Monument creek trailhead. Thanks to gampa&gamma (who I had the pleasure of meeting at an event yesterday) for the placement of this one!

Found this on a great hike with kenyansherpa. There are easier ways to to get there but we had fun checking out an alternate route. It took a minute to spot this one but we soon had it in hand. Now for some more "up" on the way to the rest of the caches we were after. TFTC

I was with Gampa when he placed this one (and mine down the hill). Such a nice area and a fun cache! TFTC!

I don’t know how many times I’ve been to this ridge but it’s at least 3. Some of those old caches have faded into memory. The trail has really deteriorated. Fun cache but didn’t really need the last 6 feet of elevation gain Smile. TFTC!

OMG I can't believe we missed getting the FTF on this cache. There is no way I will get up at that time of the morning to get a cache. Congrats to kerewin0430. You are amazing! Seriously. Looking forward to the time you qualify for the 2-star cache

Two {*FTF*}s before a breakfast event, and then a third - all before noon? What kind of a day is this?! Also - wasn't I just here a few days ago? Well, now that summer has finally arrived (that is, it's a million degrees by 7 AM), I have finally learned my lesson about hiking in the heat and decided to get an early start. True to form, I lost the trail around Cliffhanger's WP3, which I had hoped to follow and pick up the ridge trail (Ha! I've never once been able to stay on the trail after crossing the gulley!), and ended up finding an incredibly steep way up to the other new cache! From there, at least I could ride the ridge! I had a suspicion about what this cache might involve, and was sorely disappointed when I found the decoy area. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt!! Let's just say that this one and its companion definitely earn every bit of their T rating! Thank you for another reason to come up this way! I was tempted to leave my own cache so we can keep leapfrogging on this mountain...but I resisted. Thanks for placing this one!
