Scenic view  Significant hike  Difficult climbing  Available during winter  Cliff / falling rocks  Parking available

After solving a multi and puzzle cache in the area, Gampa and I decided we needed a few more caches up here to coax other cachers to visit and enjoy these challenging trails and spectacular views.

Although I placed the cache, Gampa kept me from being too mean and evil. I had some great ideas that he quickly and politely talked me out of. So, this one is straightforward but will be a challenge to find (which is the point).

The area is Blodgett Peak Open Space which is intense by itself. Lighting and storms can be a problem in this area so plan ahead. And enjoy views of the AFA and Colorado Springs while you nab some other caches in the area.

Special thanks to Gampa for introducing me to this beautiful area and for help solidifying the hide. He (and Gamma) are such nice people!

Have fun with Tiger Teamwork: Gampa Edition!

I made the climb up to this ridge yet one more time. I was glad once I finally made it go GZ so I could sit down and take a rest. TFTC.

WingsandTales and I did a nice loop today ( up one ridge on Blodgett and down another ) after parking at West Monument creek trailhead. Thanks to TigerFinder for the placement of this one! All is well with the container and the log. TFTH!!

This was the first cache of the day on a great hike with kenyansherpa. Our route was a little unconventional but it worked quite well for us. The views from the ridge are outstanding. There was still a lot of "up" in our day after this one. TFTC

We were with TigerFinder when he placed this cache, so we're now logging a find with his permission. Great hide! Thanks for the cache.

We didn’t get an early start so we were subjected to the worst Mr. Sun had to dish out. The sweat was dripping off both of us and it was getting in my eyes so I couldn't really see where I was going. Just keep going up! No need to think, just go up. Eventually we got to the top and made the find. This spot is a favorite no matter what time of day it is or what month it is. TFTC!

Nice spot for a cache. Unfortunately, it was more uphill than I anticipated. I did not realize how out of shape i was! Stupid to do this in hot weather, but i couldn't resist.

Two {*FTF*}s before a breakfast event, and then a third - all before noon? What kind of a day is this?! Also - wasn't I just here a few days ago? Well, now that summer has finally arrived (that is, it's a million degrees by 7 AM), I finally learned my lesson about hiking in the heat and decided to get an early start. True to form, I lost the trail around Cliffhanger's WP3, which I had hoped to follow and pick up the ridge trail (Ha! I've never once been able to stay on the trail after crossing the gulley!), and ended up finding an incredibly steep way up to this cache. 4 wheel drive isn't just for cars! This one was tricky and took me quite a while! Thank goodness for very accurate coordinates! This one and its companion definitely earn every bit of their T rating (at least the way I took). Thank you for another reason to come up this way! I was tempted to leave my own cache so we can keep leapfrogging on this mountain...but I resisted. Thanks for placing this one!
