Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Not Available at all times  Not Recommended at night  Not Available during winter  Cliff / falling rocks  Not Wheelchair accessible  Parking available  Camping available

Stop and enjoy the beautiful waterfall and then start your search from there. A short drive from Highway 17 on a well maintained Forest Service road.
This is another one of our favorite spots. Hope you enjoy the search and surroundings.
This is a small sandwich size rubbermaid type container.
PLEASE do not leave gum or candy in the cache. The sugar will quickly begin to dissolve and make a mess of the cache.
The cache was started with a log, pencil, 3 foam stamps, a magic towel, clip-on-watch, and pedometer.

Too bad the lake has been drained. The campground is pretty barren with all of the beetle killed trees all cut. The cache container lid is broken and falling apart and needs to be replaced. TFTC.

We found this cache easily, & what a beautiful area. We did feel sorry for all the trees that had to be cut because of the beetles, but there are lots of baby trees planted and trying to come back. Also Trujillo dam looks so sad but will be worked on again, we understand. The waterfall is beautiful and we loved it. The cache sure does need to be replaced. It is brittle and two of the "latches" broke off and the lid is broken. The log book got wet but I turned to the next page, signed it and then put it in a new plastic bag along with a desiccant packet. We put some toys into the cache and re-hid it. Thanks for the hide.
