If you are at the site, take a minute to admire the view of Mt. Baldy, called such by the locals. This cache can be accessed by water via the public docks or by land with parking near the public beach or wandering from the town boardwalk. Bring a beach ball for the volley ball court, and mabye rent a kayak or SUP.
The Rocky Mountains formed when the North American Plate overlapped Pacific Plate but the Pacific Plate pushed forward still. Imagine that you and team of geocachers are pioneers searching for the perfect place to a build homestead. The lake represents the pacific ocean, the rocks on the shore represent the Rockies and the cache is the perfect place. Good luck.
