After getting my first wireless beacon cache on a trip to North Dakota, I decided Estes Park needed its own chirp. There's no need to locate the actual beacon itself, just get the coords and find the final. The container isn't suitable for swag, except maybe a pathtag, even though it might seem that there's room.

Note: In order to find the chirp, you will need a device with ANT+ capability. Garmin units with the wireless transfer function should be able to detect it. Some smartphones can do so as well, but will need an app.

It's been several years since I've done a Chirp cache, so when I was planning out a trip to the Estes Park area today with my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo and going through the selection of a few caches to add on to our hiking objectives, I saw this one and it was put on the "must do" list for the day! My Map63Sx performed well on this, as it has done with past Chirp caches, and I got to the final location pretty rapidly. Then the work began, as I was distracted by a large item that certainly would trigger a need for the hint item. After thoroughly checking out possibilities there I renewed my search elsewhere. Finally came up with it; it was largely concealed by some objects that were placed there temporarily. It didn't take long, after spotting it, to get the container opened and the log signed. Thanks for a Favorite point-earning cache, Path Pacer!

This is my first multicache. Did it with Dud&Plato while spending the afternoon in Estes. The chirp app worked great. Took a while to actually find the cache. Very clever hide. I looked at it twice before I figured out how to open it. TFTC|SL

Think the brief snow shower slowed down my brain on this one a bit, but eventually it all got put together! I'm happy to report that the android app had no problem picking up the chirp and directing to the other location. I searched the entirely wrong spot for longer than I care to admit, and then actually followed what my GSP said... yeah, the cords are good. I've seen similar trickery in the past, but I just had to look in all the wrong places first. I must say, I'm really impressed with Path Pacers's hides in the area! They are really well thought out and executed and this is no exception. Everything with this one is in perfect shape. Thanks for adding another chirp to my finds. They are pretty darn rare! TFTC|SL

We were up here the 4th weekend but didn't know there was a new chirp & we weren't in our car so I didn't have my Garmin with Chirp. We tried an iPhone app but couldn't figure out how to get it to search for the signal. Came back today to finish the geo tour round 2 & remembered to do this too. It worked just great & I loved the final. A fav point for sure!

Fabulous!!

After HeJack used the Oregon to get the coords, we headed to Ground Zero. Actually, HeJack and The-Lemonators girl walked over to locate the final. After a few minutes, SheJack joined the hunt. SheJack had seen these containers before and had an idea of what it was - but not until she saw it! Favorite Point for execution from Chirp to final.

We are two Texans from Dallas on a Vacation with our son and 2 grandkids from San Antonio. We are enjoying beautiful Colorado!

Thank you to Path Pacer for a fun Cache!!

My family and I spent a week in Colorado for our summer vacation from Chicago. This chirp was very close to our hotel and was right near the grocery store where we stocked up on snacks. No problems getting the chirp info, but I had to visit GZ 2x to make the find. The first time I was convinced the hint meant something else, and had looked in the wrong area. After turning my attention to another potential spot, the container was being blocked by a bunch of inventory that had was being checked in by the nearest establishment. I came back today and saw the coast was clear and made the quick find. Nicely done. TFTC!

All right, this was a project--first I had to figure out the chirp thing (this is my first), and then I should have read the hint. I actually had my hand on the right thing early on, but...well, you know how it goes. In the end, though, I got it, even on a busy 4th of July, with no one seeming particularly concerned about my stumbling around. I have long suspected that the more people there are in the vicinity, the less they actually watch any one person, especially a harmless-looking older woman, anyway.

This is one of the few attributes that I don't have--I think I now have 105 of the 107 possible, so I'm really pleased. Thanks for the chance to do something new and different!
