Hermit Park Open Space is a public park managed by Larimer County Natural Resources.  Please note that there is a $9 entry fee unless you have a valid Larimer County Parks Pass.

Hermit Park was once a working cattle ranch as well as a private retreat for Hewlett Packard before being purchased by the county.  The hike to the top of Kruger Rock is one of the highlights of the park.  The Kruger Rock trailhead is located inside of Hermit Park, but the trail soon enters US Forest Service land, where this cache is hidden.  The cache is hidden near one of the first overlooks, which offers a view over the town of Estes Park with the Mummy Range and Continental Divide behind.

There is a limited amount of parking at the trailhead.  Additional parking, as well as drinking water, is available on the opposite side of the access road near the large pavilion.

Found it. Got within 3 feet of where my gps said it was and didn't see it at first. After looking around I went back to that same location and by golly there it was. Cache is in great shape. The view was great and signed the log and replaced the cache. Thanks jrj1980 for the cache.
