Welcome to Stage 3 of the Colorado Cryptex Cache Adventure!

Yes this Cache actually contains a laser and now you don't have to wait until night to see it. If you do it looks cooler though!

Please don't point the laser in your eye!

If you haven't found Stages 1 and 2, it is best to start with CCCA Part 1: Adams County Cache GC4EYJJ

The Stage 3 cache is a simple two stage multi cache.  The first coordinates take you to the laser.  There is a picture on the container on how to properly position the laser which will then point you to the cache location. Pay careful attention to properly line up the laser so you will know where to go.
There are batteries with the laser, please take them back out of the laser when you are done and put them in the battery holder slots so they last longer. The laser takes AAA batteries if you want to be safe...

I have upgraded the laser so you don't have to do this cache at night. Also, I have changed the final location to be easier and to avoid a dog that was too loud at night.

Part 1: GC4EYJJ - short two stage cache
Part 2: GC4EYK1 – regular cache
Part 3: GC4EYKB – night cache, short two stage cache
Part 4: GC4EZEF – night cache, short night trail cache
Part 5: GC4EZFP - Final Cryptex cache

At each stage you will get a code for the cryptex and part of the coordinates to the final location. Don't forget to write them down but please don't share with other geocachers!

This was a very tough retrieval as it had been returned upside down, and the supplied TOTT did not work. Was able to finally get it and sign log. TFTC

A bit confusing but I figured it out. Didn’t see the laser mount on the fence. Cache was an easy removal once the trash was removed from the hiding spot.

I enjoyed the CCCA series... wish the CO was maintaining. You can get part 2 if you walk down past the NO trespassing sign for about 500 feet. No one around so I didn’t see the harm... however... if you are good at following the rules... which I think is best... you can look at my photo that is attached to this post... it is the info you need from part 2 to finish this series.

Sara and I decided to hit up these night caches. I was quite impressed and blinded by the beam in the darkness! Practically a light saber! We dashed over and made the extraction. Quite s bit of traffic on this road at night! Thank you for the placement!
Fav!

Out caching with FeartheFish and like usual driving his butt all over the place. Out getting some Jasmer caches and picking up some others along the way. we retrieved the retrieval tool and put it back where it belongs. Give it a fav. TFTC!

I went back today, and was able to retrieve the cache with one of these: https://www.dollartree.com/Tool-Bench-Hardware-Easy-Reach-Plastic-Long-Reach-Pick-Up-Tools-33-in-/p399501/index.pro. Unfortunately, I was not able to retrieve the tool. I may still go back another time to replace the tool, although many of the other logs state that it really doesn't work anyway.

I found it!, sort of... I got the laser part to work perfectly for me. It took about 10 minutes because there were so many cars going by, even at 9:30 at night, so I kept having to stop and wait for them to pass. Once the laser was set up and pointing me to the final location, I took the provided tool, saw the container and... dropped it while trying to retrieve the container. I will return some evening this week after work to sign the log, get the info about the cryptex, and retrieve/replace the retrieval tool. I'll post a note once I've fixed the cache. Sorry about that, and TFTC!

Deco d cache of the night in this series. It taught me an important lesson to read the directions and look around. Once we detected the cache location, we saw the container. But the included tool was of absolutely not helpful. Luckily, I had some TOTTs in my truck and we were able to retrieve the container. No signatures since 2017. Looking forward to the next two in the series. Found with @intrepiidexplorer and @WindAtMyBack . Tftc!

We couldn't get the laser to point us in the right direction but found it using our geosenses. The tool provided also didn't retrieve the cache but we got a tott to help. Tftc!!
